I was on http://www.1024media.com/ and saw that they have the titles of blog posts in a little sidebar on the front page, but you can also go to a page, http://www.1024media.com/blog that has all of the blog posts.
How is that done?
It is mostly likey done with some creative CSS styling and the "Recent Posts" widget.
As far as the 2nd link you mentioned, that looks like just the standard archive.php (and creative styling again).
You guys should get more familiar with the tool you are using (WP).
Visit your own admin panel > Settings > Reading.
Set up a custom Page as "frontpage" (and display whatever you want on it, including posts titles...) and then set another Page (title Blog) as your "posts page". Done.
Note. Both Pages have to be created BEFORE performing the actions above.
Well... yeah... I thought that was understood. :)
I thought the question was how to actually put the titles in the pages (like Recent Posts) not just you can display post. My misunderstanding.
I don't remember seeing those two options back when I first started using WordPress, and there is not any documentation about what they mean. I'll try it out soon.
