 * i have been really trying to set a large thumbnail on the blog listings page.
   i cant seem to get this to work at all. what template file will allow me to make
   a listing page with a large featured image above each post?

    Please share your page URL. there may be some css that prohibits image
   size from increasing or ib some scenarios image thumbnails are loaded instead
   of full images.
