 * How would I make it that my blogs show up on my page’s index summarized?
 * Some are really long, and I’d like to make it so that they display something 
   like the first ten lines of the blog, and then use the hyperlink to take the 
   visitor to the blogs actual URL?

 * you could change the content to the excerpt on your index.php
 * or you could control the length by using the more tag in your posts
