Ok, like so many here, I’m a newbie. I originally was starting my site on WP.com but decided to “run with the big dawgs” and come over to WP.org. While at .com there were basic statistics on the dashboards that was really nice. Apparently .org doesn’t offer those out-of-the-box. So, I did a search and see that in the plugin section there are a number of statistic plugins listed.
I have hosting with Bluehost.com and used their one click install so I don’t have WP installed nor do I have an FTP client.
The plug in that I have my eye on is: CyStats. This is a copy of the installation instructions.
This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.
1. Upload directory cystats to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
3. Edit cystats settings according to your needs
Here’s my question(s).
When it says “upload directory cystats to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, am I supposed to have that on my computer? If not, how do I find that on Bluehost?
Thanks for any help.
