 * Hello!
 * For some reason, when I set my blog page, my posts don’t appear properly (top
   to bottom).
 * Instead, that page (entitled “Blog”) shows my posts only at the very bottom in
   a horizontal slideshow kind of thing. (I forgot your term for it. Loop?)
 * Above that scrolling horizontal post display is your three little blurbs and
   then the text THIS IS A HEADLINE WIDGET.
 * I delete the custom fields, update the page, and the custom fields reappear.
 * **When I deactivate Page Builder**, the posts appear but the sidebar falls to
   the bottom of the page.
 * My practice website URL is:
 * i m n i d i o t dot com
 * I like your theme and I would almost certainly buy the premium version. However,
   not until this is solved!
 * Thanks so much for your time. You obviously do good work.
 * PS: I tried to send an email to the “presale questions” email address, and all
   I received was an automated response. I’d rather not have had to post all this
   publicly but I figured it was worth a shot.

 * Hi carpenter215
 * There are a couple of ways you can launch a Blog page in Vantage:
 * 1. Create a page called Blog or whatever you’d like. Head down to the Page Attributes
   meta box in the right column of that page and select the Blog page template.
   That’s it.
 * 2. Create a page but instead click over to the Page Builder tab and insert the
   Post Loop (PB) widget. That will also create a Blog page.
 * If your Post Loop (PB) widget is showing your posts as a carousel, just hover
   over the widget and click Edit. Then change the template of the widget, right
   now it’s on carousel.
 * Keep in mind that once you are editing a page via Page Builder you need to continue
   editing it in Page Builder, you can’t edit Page Builder created content in Visual
   or Text view.
 * Give the above two methods a try but first head to Settings > Reading and make
   sure no Posts page is selected there.
 * Hope to see you on our Premium version soon.
 * Cheers
 * Andrew

 * Thanks, but I need to reiterate the following:
 * 1. I delete the custom fields, update the page, and the custom fields reappear.
   In other words I am unable to delete the custom fields.
 * 2. When I deactivate Page Builder, the posts appear but the sidebar falls to
   the bottom of the page.
 * I have tried the other things you suggested.

 * Hi carpenter215
 * Unless you’re specifically working with custom fields I’d suggest hiding those
   under Screen Options.
 * Can you perhaps run me through exactly what you want your page to look like and
   I’ll run you through setting that up from scratch. I think it’ll be a lot easier
   that way.
 * Thanks

 * I’m not working with custom fields at all. (However, I _think_ I was able to
   deal with that particular problem.)
 * Right now, here’s the MAIN problem:
 * No matter what page I set as my blog page, the sidebar falls way down to the
   bottom when it should be directly to the right of the post excerpts.
 * At this time Page Builder is not enabled. The first thing I need to know is whether
   I can make this thing function out of the box.
 * Go to my website and click on “blog” to see what I mean. (The url is in my first
   post of this thread.)
 * Thanks again for your time.

 * Ok I’m with you. I see that your #primary container CSS is being overwritten
   by Page Builder CSS. I realise we’re moving slowly here but please try this for
   me.
 * 1. Settings > Reading, leave Posts page unselected.
    2. Create a new page, set
   the page template to Blog in the right column. 3. Hit Save.
 * This is what you should land up with: [https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ce22rmmh24igy9/Screenshot%202014-02-07%2017.45.50%282%29.png](https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ce22rmmh24igy9/Screenshot%202014-02-07%2017.45.50%282%29.png)
 * You can see the calendar widget (sidebar) next to the posts on the left.
 * If this exercise doesn’t work please can you send me a set of login details to
   [support@siteorigin.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/blog-settings-problem/support@siteorigin.com?output_format=md)
   and I’ll take a look.
 * Thanks

 * **[@misplon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/misplon/)**: Posting an email
   address or asking others to contact you off forums is _really_ frowned upon here.
   This is to protect users and to prevent people from trying to solicit work or
   harvest email addresses from the forums. However, I do appreciate that you are
   part of SiteOrigin’s support team and theme devs do get a free pass on this for
   obvious reasons.
 * Any chance you could post to [http://make.wordpress.org/support/2012/11/is-your-forum-id-a-company-rep-account/](http://make.wordpress.org/support/2012/11/is-your-forum-id-a-company-rep-account/)
   so that we can get you listed on the forums in your “professional capacity”?
   That way, you won’t keep running foul of mods like me who tend to drop in whenever
   A.N. Poster starts offering email contact.

 * I think it worked.
 * Thanks so much.
 * You probably have me sold, but I have some other questions. Should I post them
   here?

 * [@esmi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/esmi/) sorry about that, I’ve mostly
   been running things on UserVoice and am new to the forums. I’ll get right on
   that. Thanks for the heads up.

 * [@carpenter215](https://wordpress.org/support/users/carpenter215/) super, glad
   that worked. Sure, let me know here if you’re stuck with any other issues.
 * To clarify we setup a Blog page on Vantage by leaving our Settings > Reading
   settings as default. We then created a page, set the page template as Blog and
   hit save. This is one way to setup a blog page in Vantage.

 * Okay…
 * As you might have noticed, the site I’m showing you is a practice site.
 * If I were to purchase the upgrade, would I need a separate purchase for each
   blog I run?

 * You’ll find our premium offering under Appearance > Premium Upgrade. We offer
   a mutli-site license for $50, alternatively you can purchase an upgrade once
   per live production site.

 * Great.
 * Let me give notice that I’m a near-total novice with all things technical. Therefore
   I would need quite a bit of help.
 * Would you or other people be willing to help me in a way that’s a little less
   public than this?
 * (I’d likely need help with other non theme related things, like making a logo.
   Could someone there help me? I’d gladly pay whatever I can.)
 * Or would I have to send emails to “support@siteorigin.com,” which I’d rather
   not do for the reason I mentioned in my first post here.
 * Thanks so much!

 * No problem. Once you’re a premium user we prefer that you email our support email
   address and will assist directly there.
 * We’re not able to assist with graphic design but can certainly try point you
   in the right direction.
