Blog posts not showing up on the blog

in your dashboard:
what page is set as your posts page in settings>reading
what page is set as your front page in settings>reading

It sounds like you’re very close to getting this resolved. Just be sure, beyond “Front page displays: A Static Page”, that you have a) created an actual page for your homepage, b) and actual page for your blog page, and finally c) selected them on the “A static page (select below)” at Dashboard > Settings > Reading page. 🙂

Using Mac Firefox 34.0, when I go to http://lindseyerinphotography.com/blog/, I am eventually taken to http://lindseyerinphotography.com/blog-2/. This means you had a page with a permalink named blog, then moved it to the trash BUT didn’t permanently delete it. Then, with the old blog page in the Trash you created a new blog page. Which ended up with a permalink named blog-2. Which is functionally okay. That is, things will work but you’ll always have to stare at that http://lindseyerinphotography.com/blog-2/ address.

The fix for this would be to a) permanently remove the old blog page from the trash, b) rename your current blog page’s permalink from blog-2 to blog, c) make sure your Reading Settings > Front page displays settings are correctly pointing to your blog not blog-2 page, and, finally, d) edit your Menu to point to /blog/ rather than /blog-2/.

You’re very welcome linz10783. I just used Firefox 34.0 to go to http://lindseyerinphotography.com/blog/ and it remained http://lindseyerinphotography.com/blog/. Moreover, I hovered my mouse pointer over Blog in your menu and it too reflected the new /blog/ address. So, yay! Looks like you can mark this thread “resolved” using the dropdown in the sidebar. 🙂
