    Hi,

I use OceanWP theme for almost all the websites for my clients. But I misses the blog post shortcode from the theme. For that I have to use a different plugin and make it look like OceanWP blog post design.

I want to know if there is any shortcode available in OceanWP which I can use in pages.

For example on the home page in a website I want to show 3 recent blog posts in this layout.

Is it possible? Or can I create a custom shortcode and use the OceanWP blog post layout in the output?

    Thank you.

  • Hello @anjanphukan,

No, we don’t have such shortcode or option available within the theme itself.

We do have the Blog Carousel (https://elementor.oceanwp.org/blog-carousel/) and Blog Grid (https://elementor.oceanwp.org/blog-grid/) widgets, both parts of Ocean Elementor Widgets and the Ocean Core Extensions Bundle (premium extensions): https://oceanwp.org/core-extensions-bundle/

Whatever plugin you opt in for, be it free or pro, you can create a template via Theme Panel > My Library (of course, if the plugin you have chosen allows creation of templates), and display it on any page either by using the Shorcodes section via individual page/post OceanWP Settings (Ocean Extra plugin required, available in the WordPress repository) or by using custom PHP snippets to display shortcodes (templates).

Hope this helps. Best of luck with your website

    Hi @wpfleek

I have created my own custom shortcode to show the blog posts on any page using the OceanWP theme design.

I have created a tutorial here for any other user’s need.

    Hope this is fine.

    Thank you so much.
