  • Do a Detectify scan on a site where the iTSec plugin is installed & activated and find out … (and share the results with the community).

    To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.

    @tsmets,

    I second @nlpro! Just another fear-mongering, marketing ploy by a so called “ethical hacker” (i.e., Detectify)

    If Detectify’s developers really want to help the community, they should contact the security plugin developers directly to help them harden their security plugins – and/or – provide their so called “security scanner” online to check website vulnerability.

    I say, ignore Detectify and sign up for iThemes Security Pro for additional security enhancements. You can also add another iron-clad security layer to your website by signing up with a CDN (e.g., Cloudflare).

    We’ve used iThemes Security and Cloudflare for 5 years and have never had a security issue.

    And just for fun, our website has had the pleasure of “shutting down” repeat hackers by locking their IP addresses and reporting them to the authorities. One at a time!

    Cheers!

    It is what annoys me with Detectify …
    Calling there is a Wolf but not providing clear cut solution. Moreover the polite way is to notify the editor and then after a 30 days grace period notify the public.
    We hopefully do have the commercial version of the plugin but there is little to no indication on iThemes editors site.

    \T,

    ps : [OFF-TOPIC] I find these CDN’s very expensive for what they offer.

    @tsmets,

    If you’re not using the free version of Cloudflare, you’re missing out on a great opportunity to protect your website. The free version also blocks bots, hackers, and many other unwanted attacks.

    Best wishes!
