Blog Post not personalized in URL

    Hi –

    All other blog posts I created have the title personalized in the URL.

    This one, no matter if I change the title (in the actual post), or change the title in the “SEO Visibility” section/area, the URL does not get updated.

    Ideas or suggestions for changing?

    Hi Tanya,

    In the editor, check in the sidebar for a Permalink section. You should be able to open that up and write a custom URL for the post there.

    Thanks for the hack/tip.
    Curious about something though: I have never had to do this before. Just wrote a title, and then in the SEO Visibility section, wrote a title (if it was different than the original). What has changed and why?

    WordPress auto-creates the permalink based on the post title the first time the post is manually saved. If you typed out a rough draft for your post and then saved it before adding a title, WordPress will just use the post ID (467) in the permalink. It won’t update it again when you add the title.

    I would just add checking the permalink to your editing routine to avoid any issues in the future.
