Blog Layout

  • Hey Everyone
    This is my first post and I am new to wordpress but I love it!!!! My question is about a formating question….If it helps you can look at my blog at http://www.teknokool.net/wordpress . What I am trying to do is give my entry a look like a newspaper where you would have the pic and the text right next to the picture until it reaches the bottom of the photo and then it would just start at the left margin…can anyone help me with that?? I may not be explaining it well enough either…if so just tell me and I will try again 🙂
    thanks
    Jeff

  • Aye, I’m doing that at my site. I have a CSS class called photo, which looks like this:
    .photo {
    float: left;
    margin: 0 0.75em 0.5em 0;
    vertical-align: top;
    }

    I simply put class="photo" in the IMG tag, which I put before all the text in the blog entry.
    BTW, the photos are uploaded using the upload feature. All browser-based.

    Hey Guys
    Thanks for your help to this point…now my next question…redneck I put the code in and now I see the text wrapping but now it just shows the discription where the picture would go…but not the pic? How can I fix that? If anyone wants to look at it…its at http://www.teknokool.net/wordpress and its the most recent post. you can see where it says “natalie” thats where the pic should be.
    thanks
    Jeff

    thats what i have…its showing the discription but not the image.

    Remove the “;”

    take out the semicolon in that tag and it should work;P

    kool thanks beel and thanks redneck for you help with the issue…I am now set with that.
