I don’t know where to start with this one.
I noticed this morning, after I uploaded a post with ms live writer as a saved draft, that there were only 4 posts on my blog. Fortunately, I haven’t been posting long so I’ve only lost a dozen or so. This is in the admin and on the blog pages. They’re gone.
When I went to copy and paste from my desktop an old post to replace a lost one, it deleted the oldest one again. I don’t know how long this has been going on.
So, I have xampp running on my desktop and uploaded a backup of the mysql into a database there. Installed WP and posts are missing on the last several weeks of backups. I figured I’d install them all into a new database and export just the posts using WP-tools-export function and upload them into the current site. No luck. Just a list of ‘file already uploaded’ (or similar saying the posts are already online).
When I go into MySQL on the server there are nothing but post revisions when I look at the post types.
I have dozens of pages for members to access that are fine and nothing’s happening there.
Any help on this one? I really don’t want to have to reinstall a new database and figure out how to upload all these posts again, along with the pages.
