Thanks for using Chosen!
Could you link me to a post that currently has a Featured Image set?
If your web host has its own caching feature, you may need to clear the cache there to get your updates to appear.
all of the posts have a featured image. at least they did.
when I edit a post to re-add a featured image, it disappears the moment I click update.
It looks like you have a child theme installed, so I would recommend switching from the child theme to the normal Chosen theme and checking if this makes a difference.
This isn’t a normal error for Chosen, so the issue is most likely coming from the child theme, a plugin, or potentially a browser extension.
Nope. That’s not it. I have been in contact with my domain shop. They can’t figure it out either 😂
It’s not the theme’s fault either. Tried with some other themes as well. You can mark this as resolved.
But if you have any idea, I’m listening 🙂
the next move is to delete and reinstall WordPress unless someone figures it out 🙁
I’m sorry to hear that didn’t help.
If it’s not the theme, plugins, or a browser extension, then it’s most likely an issue with the WordPress install. The good news is that re-installing is way easier than it sounds. In the Dashboard > Updates page, you’ll find a button there to re-install the newest version. I hope that helps!
Thanks. Didn’t know about that.
Sadly it didn’t do much.
I first took a backup, then deleted the wp installation.
Then I installed it and restored the backup.
same issue.
Then I restored it again, but without the original database. I downloaded and uploaded an XML backup of the posts. Then it worked.
What a strange error. Thanks so much for posting your solution here! I’ll keep this in mind for future reference.
