# Blog breaks? Returning posts?

 * Well, I am not sure what to call it, but I will try to describe my problem as
   best as I can. I am new to wordpress, and love using it so far. I know this is
   probably an easy fix or something I have not yet configured, But I did do a search
   for it and I didn’t find anything that halped me out…
 * When I post a blog, I would like to be able to make part of the blog viewable
   on the main page, but then I would like “…” or something to be displayed if the
   blog is “x” long, so If I post a long blog, it continues on the posts link, and
   doesn’t hog the main page. Right now whenever I post, the blog takes up alot 
   of room because the blog is displayed in full. I think it would look nicer having
   a link to the rest of the post, and it also makes the blog posts easier to read.
   Sorry about the description, but it is the only way I can think of to describe
   it….. any help would be greatly appreicated, thanks in advance!

 * You want to limit the amount of characters displayed. Here’s what I use:
    [http://labitacora.net/comunBlog/limit-post.phps](http://labitacora.net/comunBlog/limit-post.phps)
 * Just save that page and rename it “limit-post.php” (remove the “s”). Upload the
   file into your plugins folder, activate it, and the file explains the rest. Post
   back with the results.
