    Hi there,

    Our hosted blog, http://www.kathycasey.com/blog, appears to have gone AWOL. When visiting the url, I am asked to register a blog. I cannot log in to the wp-admin.php page, it simply takes me to the register page. We are hosted with Yahoo, and logging into the file manager there is little help if I don’t know what the problem is.

    Any help would be appreciated. We have almost 5 years of blogs, and it would be rather disastrous for our business if all the blog posts are actually gone.

    Do you have a recent backup of your blog? It seems that you might have accidentally deleted everything.

    logging into the file manager there is little help if I don’t know what the problem is.

    Have you had a look at your file manger? What do you find there?

    BTW, you may try to reinstall WordPress (excepting wp-contents) and see if the blog shows up.

    Hi Krishna,

    I don’t generally access the blog; our Social media Manager uploaded a blog to the site yesterday and was having some connectivity issues then, but no one really goes in and makes changes other than to post blogs. So I’m a little blind going into trying to fix this. We don’t have a webmaster.

    I’m looking in the file manager, but I’m not really a web person, so the extent of my knowledge is limited to updating small bits of code on the website, which I have not done in the last week, and was nothing to do with the blog then.

    I’m hesitant to reinstall, simply because if there is anything left, I don’t want to risk losing it. Is this something I can possibly attempt to troubleshoot with Yahoo directly?

    Yes. You should try that option first in view of your above post.
