blog and blog category paths

    Hi – have a question on blog and post path structure. Just setting this up and want to make sure i am starting from a solid foundation.

    The path to my blog in the navigation is
    mysite.com/category/blog/

    When the blog page open it says Archive from category “xxx Blog”

    All blog posts are in the form of mysite.com/postname

    When I look at mysite.com/blog/ it is a page that I never see when looking at my blog. It has no posts or categories.

    I would expect the path to posts to be mysite.com/blog/postname.

    Is this normal? This is a new blog and tried deleting the posts and categories to start over but same thing.

    Info would be greatly appreciated.

    Any category view will default to the archive.php page template, which typically has the “Archive for…” text.

    Have you set your reading settings to use /blog as the posts view page?

    Thanks Matt. There was a check box under the readings setting!!
