Hi I have Recipient set as Post author and CC as Blog admin.

The post author receiving notifications but the Blog admin never seems to receiving anything.

I also tried setting a Custom CC of [blog_admin_email] but the admin still never received a notification.

Test email to blog admin works fine.

Any ideas what might be going wrong?

A second issue I have is with Post authors. I have some custom code in my php to allow any site user to be selected as the post author, not just admins or author roles for example.

However if I select a user that has a lower role such as subscriber then it doesn’t send them a notification email.

Is there any way around this?

I would love for these two issues to work so I can purchase the pro version but these are holding me back for now.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Luke

    Thanks for using PSN.

This is a common request and it can have multiple reasons. Have you already checked the FAQ? http://docs.ifeelweb.de/post-status-notifier/faq.html

Maybe the notification email is filtered as spam on the admin email server due to its contents (I have experienced this multiple times!). Is the admin email address the same as the sender’s resp the blog’s domain? That could cause conflicts in some cases.

PSN does not care about user roles. It just retrieves their email addresses and passes them to the WordPress internal email function. With the premium version you’ll the logging feature to get more insight about what is happening when your rules match. Maybe they’d need some adjustment. Also you could try sending via an SMTP server or use Mandrill as service.
