We have a site utilizing the official WooCommerce Shipping Services add-on. This allows a store to print shipping labels for orders. The service is managed through JetPack with WordPress.com servers. With an XML-RPC as an attack vector on the site recently, we are looking for options to mitigate XML-RPC requests. After reaching out on Slack to the WooCommerce Developers channel, a dev from the JetPack team suggested following the steps at https://jetpack.com/support/hosting-faq/#troubleshooting

We have All In One WP Security & Firewall installed on this site. Under Firewall > Basic Firewall Rules there is an option to Disable Pingback Functionality From XMLRPC.

When that option is checked, specifically what does All In One WP Security & Firewall do?

According to Jetpack the following IPs should be whitelisted (is this what AIOWPSF does when that is checked?):

    122.248.245.244/32
    54.217.201.243/32
    54.232.116.4/32
    192.0.80.0/20
    192.0.96.0/20
    192.0.112.0/20
    195.234.108.0/22
