Hi @designbysue,
How can I remove any sign up possibilities except for mail poet sign ups through the sign up for our newsletter form I have on the site?
Are you referring to WordPress Users being added to your MailPoet lists?
You can check the MailPoet > Settings > Basics tab and make sure you have disabled two different options: sign-ups in the comments and sign-ups in the registration form.
If the subscribers are coming from a 3rd-party form plugin, you’ll need to protect this form by adding Captcha to it.

Thank you Bruna. One of those were turned on so I removed that choice (sign up in registration form) though this is not the problem. The problem is I don’t know where these other sign ups are coming from. I don’t believe I have any 3rd party plugins allowing for signups. I do have one other form on the site that I created that is sent directly and only to board members to sign up as a board member user. This form is available only with a direct link and is not accessed by robots so is not on search engines. I am trying to allow sign ups only through these 2 specific forms not the generic sign up form that is produced by WordPress. Maybe I am asking in the wrong area. Can someone tell me how to disable any wordpress user sign up forms without turning off the mail poet sign up? Or tell me where I might find the answer?

You can also go to your WordPress > Settings > General and uncheck the option “Membership – Anyone can register”.
Other than that, we would need to check your other forms in order to help you further.
Thank you that was very helpful. I found that there is another plugin that was depending on this setting set to being true. I thought it was mail poet! Sorry about that. I am using New User Approve for the other form I talked about and they require this to be turned on. So I will next look into that plugin and what I can do about it there. Such a house of cards wordpress is!
