• Hi, I had removed Wordfence a month back. I re-installed and went through the Web Application Firewall Status of “Learning Mode”. Now, when ever I access the “Blocking” screen it always shows “No blocks are currently active.” It has been 3 weeks or more. Is this correct? Before it always showed blocks. Please advise. Thanks.

  • Hi @dramsay,

Some blocks are temporary and might have disappeared since you looked at it.

Can you check Wordfence -> Tools -> Live Traffic to see if anyone was blocked by Wordfence in the last 30 days?

Hi Dave, I haven’t had a response to the information I have provided to your previous question above. Please advise.

When I have a main domain and a subdomain do i need to install wordfence on the subdomain? Regards.

    Hi again!

I’ve had another customer had this situation before, can you check with your host to see if they are blocking any attacks?

What was happening was that the host was blocking malicious attacks and they were not reaching Wordfence, which caused an empty block list.

As for your second question, if you have two websites, sub.example.com and example.com:

If they are both on the same machine, you will only need to install Wordfence once.

If they are on different hosts, you will need to install Wordfence on each of the hosts.

Hi Dave, So does it matter if Wordfence is installed on the main domain or the subdomain? Thanks, Dale
