I am using the popular Blocksy Theme and it’s popup functions. When i place an iframe inside that popup, embed privacy won’t recognize the iframe. If i place it outside in the content, then it gets blocked. Is there any chance to support the popup function content or can i somehow wrap the iframe in a embed privacy shortcode to force the iframe blocker?

    Hi @nicmare,

since this is a Pro module, I assume I cannot test it, as I have no access to it.

If you can provide me a test website with access to the file system, I can check whether an implementation of Embed Privacy is possible.

    Best regards,
    Matthias

Dear Matthias, did you find some time to check that issue please?

I tried yesterday, but because of the current password protection, I unfortunately have no access to the site. 🥲

Hey Matthias, is it worth keeping the thread alive? Nothing happens ever since. Otherwise i would simply close the thread and will drop embed privacy in this specific case.

If you don’t mind, please keep it open. I was not available yesterday, thus I couldn’t take another look, but it’s definitely planned the next days.

Unfortunately, to me it looks like I have no change to modify the popup’s content. There is no filter available for these popups, so I can’t trigger anything in its output.

    Hey Matthias,

since the recent embed privacy update this week it seems the content in the blocksy popups is now successfully blocked. I placed a vimeo embed in the popup and see the content blocker. But unfortunately i can not unlock it. Clicking on the blocker does not trigger anything nor i get any console errors. It simply stays blocked?! Have you made any changes regarding blocksy theme?

    best

I actually trigger replacing embeds on more locations (to be more specific: while rendering blocks), but this was not specific to these popups.

Can you share the page where such a popup exists?

Thanks! I’ll try to add a check for dynamically added content.

found out the embed privacy block basically works inside blocksy popups. but you need to disable the “Ajax”-option in the Blocksy Popup Settings. Just in Case someone has the same issue and looking for a solution: simply untick that checkbox”:
