[Resolved] Blocked Page: Only Show Sidebar/Widget IF Logged In

  • Hello,

Love this plug-in, have used it on several client’s websites. I’ve hit a challenge that I believe can only be resolved with WP-Member logic.

One of my blocked pages is using a template with a sidebar. The sidebar contains a widget that houses data that only a “logged-in” member should be able to see.

How do I block the sidebar (or widget) from loading, until the user logs in as a WP-Member? Right now, the sidebar appears along with the login/registration form.

I’m using Widget Logic to isolate this widget to that page. Thought you should know.

    Thanks!

You would need to create a widget area that shows based on user login (using is_user_logged_in). There is a free article on the plugin’s support site that explains this for menus. Widgets would be similar.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that’s why your the boss. That link helped. I had to hard code the logic into the sidebar template page, which I’m ok with, because it’s working!
