I have opened a ticket. Here is a quick update.
When updating from older version to 1.6, the plugin is bulk modifying all the post together. Well we have more than 5000 posts. So the plugin update crash.
It would be better to have a lighter process like updating 100by100
Same here though. Extremely annoying. The complete site looks awful because of [row cols_nr=”2] and so on.. No way back either? What to do? 1500+ posts and pages now looks terrible.

Hey Reis,
He is what you can do (my dev find out a solution)
You have to go to your wordpress installation and increase the memory limit used by wordpress.
He set up 4go and it worked. Don’t forget to replace it afterward by the original limit 🙂
I now set it to 4G like you said (sorry for my initial reply) and it is working! Thanks!!! You saved me!

Thank you for your feedback, @beware and @reisreport! We’re still investigating the issue. Increasing memory is one of the current solutions, though it’s not perfect of course.
We’ve just fixed the issue and migration of shortcodes should be working fine now for any number of posts. So, I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to report, if you experience any other issues.

I think, we’ll be dropping the automatic migration. I’ve passed it over to our developer and will keep you updated. Many thanks for reporting.
Now I was able to finish Migration but after reload dashboard message ‘Start Migration’ appears again.
The problem is that layout of posts is broken.

Hello. We updated Powerkit a few hours ago and removed the migration of shortcodes. The shortcodes from Gridable are now supported by Powerkit too.
