 * Hi there – we’ve been blocked on our IP address on the plugins repository. We
   both contribute to plugins there and we also check out various plugins from the
   svn repo. As there’s quite a few of us working through the IP address these days,
   and it was a busy day when the block happened, we’re thinking that a few spots
   of tagging and branching of some large projects caused to hit some sort of rate
   limit.
 * We’re still fine for core and theme repos but we hit those less in general.
 * Our office IP is 151.237.236.118
 * I’d say we’re a well behaved bunch – we don’t ‘develop on’ the svn, but we’re
   doing checkouts from it. In nearly ten years of this we’ve never run into this
   sort of problem but there are ten devs in the office now, all running various
   Vagrants and is it possibly causing too much load? What’s the official advice
   and is there any way to be unblocked. We’d cheerfully contribute to costs of 
   running SVN repo if there was a path to do so as well.
 * Obviously we can route around this, but we’d rather not have to.

 * Unless busy is tantamount to a DDoS, I highly doubt we blocked your IP (and 10
   devs? Unlikely at best). If so, you’d be blocked from everything on wordpress.
   org (we don’t selectively block you just from SVN unless we’ve had to block you
   for abuse which is really rare).
 * What error are you actually getting? You can email plugins AT wordpress.org and
   we’ll check it out, but the odds are more that your router or routing tables 
   need a refresh.

   for the inconvenience. I’ll look into it further.

 * Thank you for unblocking us. If it’s something that we’ve done wrong let us know
   so we can look into how to prevent it happening again. It’s possible someone 
   on site may have opened up the repo in TortoiseSVN repo browser – which is pretty
   heavy.
