# Block width settings

 * New learning wordpress, question based on observation
 * Creating various blocks where I could assign none, wide width, full width that
   wide width and full width gave the same width result, I check in appearance –
   editor – styles – layout
 * content width = 645
 * Wide Width = 1340
 * This seems to be the default values for the theme
 * Am I missing something

 * Block level widths, such as for image blocks, dictate how large of an image should
   be used. The displayed size might still be altered based upon theme CSS or the
   browser’s viewport size.
 * The content and wide widths specified in the site editor relate to the page’s
   layout. Content width is of course the width of page or post content. The wide
   width is used to size other page elements such as header and footer widths. Of
   course if the viewport is narrower than the specified widths, most themes will
   behave responsively and adjust the layout to fit the viewport regardless of the
   site editor width settings.
