Block quote editing

  • What I want to be able to do is have text pulled away from the rest of an article.

    So I figured that a blockquote would work. However, as I am pulling out a quotation and want to cite the author, I want to be able to have paragraphs within the block quote. (the author on a separate line, with a line between the quote and the author)

    Also, the blockquote changes everything into italicized. Is there a way to change that?

    I halfheartedly searched for a similar topic, if an already started one has my answer, please direct me to it. Or feel free to answer my specific question. Please and thank you!

  • You need to edit the CSS to get the style that you want, default styles depend on the theme. Try opening up the theme editor and open up style.css search for blockquote and have a mess around with the style options.

    post a link to your site, to illustrate how blockquotes are formatted right now.

    better, for those kind of pure formatting problems,
    use a browser inspection tool to investigate the formatting;
    or ask at a css forum like http://csscreator.com/forum
