Support » Plugin: SEOPress » bloated, buggy and not ready for primetime

  • I bought the Pro version – unfortunately core functionality like snippet preview or importing SEO data from Yoast did not work.

At the same time there are many unnecessary or obsolete features:

    – GA integration is completely unnecessary
    – Dublin core is obsolete for SEO

UI is terrible, SCHEMA alone brought 6 notifications and warnings that could not be dismissed.

After a lot of wasted time and some money I’m back to Yoast.

  • Hi Martin,

What do you mean with “GA integration is completely unnecessary”? I really like this integration and GA easy “extra settings” on SEOPress.

In my case, I prefer the UI of SEOPress than Yoast SEO. And I didn’t have any issue importing SEO data from Yoast SEO… did you try to send a message to SEOPress support? Probably they can help you.

After years happily using Yoast SEO, I’m very pleased to switch to SEOPress.

    Cheers

    Hi @mawalito,

can I ask why GA integration is completely unnecessary?

About Dublin Core, you can disable in one click if you don’t want it.

Every notification can be dismissed by clicking the trash icon.

Dude what is 1 star? You’re so cruel! If you can’t do it, delete it.

Hi @mawalito, here my personal recommendation:

The Best option is “The SEO Framework”. This is the only SEO plugin that is “Enterprise Grade” software. This is something that is unknown by the majority of wordpress users, and means that the plugin has already been rigorously battle tested and the code is extremely optimized for speed, reliability and security in order to deliver the upmost quality and effectiveness for even the most demanding websites(in terms of high traffic for example).

I think you’ll be glad to know that Kaspersky and Qualys, two major security companies, use “The SEO Framework” on their Blogs.

Do not be fooled by marketing campaigns that tell you that the more features the better, because it’s a big lie, you only need a few yet most important SEO features.

Plugins like SEOPress, Yoast, All in One, Rank Math, etc…, are heavily marketing the number of features. None of these extra features are tested well enough to stand negative SEO attacks, and users can and easily do break their sites.

The most important requirements for a SEO plugin are Effectiveness, Reliability, Speed, Security and Code Quality, and “The SEO Framework” is the only SEO plugin available that fully meets this requirements, offering the most important SEO features with no bloat.
