Support » Themes and Templates » Blix, help with “Page links” in header…

  • Hi there. I’ve tried everything to fix/resolve this issue. It’s fine in firefox but in IE, the theme I’m using looks horrid. (View in IE to see what I’m referring to)

    Could someone help me out? How do I remove the page links that are untitled in my header? I want the ones with titles to stay but the rest can go. I’ve tried several things mentioned here, that should have fixed the problem and nothing has for IE.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • also.. if there isn’t a “fix” for this issue, is it possible to just remove that portion from the header and manually code the links for that area?

    Yes, it is possible. You should remove the wp_list_pages tag.
    Another option would be (if you want to use that tag) to use the exclude function.

    Thank you. I have fixed the problem by manually adding them, just to make it easier. 🙂

    Thanks again!

    I’m having an issue with this myself – I’d like to just list the pages and have the hovering work, but not use this “BX” function thing…

    <li<?php if (is_home()) echo " class=\"selected\""; ?>><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>">Home</a></li>
    $pages = BX_get_pages();
    if ($pages) {
    foreach ($pages as $page) {
    $page_id = $page->ID;
    $page_title = $page->post_title;
    $page_name = $page->post_name;
    if ($page_name == "archives") {
    (is_page($page_id) || is_archive() || is_search() || is_single())?$selected = ' class="selected"':$selected='';
    echo "<li".$selected."><a href=\"".get_page_link($page_id)."\">Archives</a></li>n";
    elseif($page_name == "about") {
    (is_page($page_id))?$selected = ' class="selected"':$selected='';
    echo "<li".$selected."><a href=\"".get_page_link($page_id)."\">About</a></li>n";
    elseif ($page_name == "contact") {
    (is_page($page_id))?$selected = ' class="selected"':$selected='';
    echo "<li".$selected."><a href=\"".get_page_link($page_id)."\">Contact</a></li>n";
    elseif ($page_name == "about_short") {/*ignore*/}
    else {
    (is_page($page_id))?$selected = ' class="selected"':$selected='';
    echo "<li".$selected."><a href=\"".get_page_link($page_id)."\">$page_title</a></li>n";

    Can anyone help?

    About this topic [Links], all page are listed by ID number, what I need to do to order by name of the page?
