Blank White Page when manually backing up

    I have this plugin on a few sites and two of them (that i’ve tried so far) when you go to create a manual back up (because the auto one is not working) it gives you a white blank page and nothing happens.

    Not real sure how to troubleshoot this.

    I’ve disabled the scheduling, tried emailing, locally, email and local….
    I deleted the backup.lock folders and tried again. Tried deleting the backups folder and recreating it. I keep getting the same result.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    To get an error displayed it might help setting WP_DEBUG to true (temporarily) in the wp-config.php file.
    Or take a look at the Apache error_log …

    Hopefully this will help and show the backup script is either timing out or running out of memory …

    The issue isn’t resolved. The debug mode set to true brings down the site and due to what it’s for, that’s not something I can do lightly.

    I’ve tried finding a common factor of the sites that aren’t backing up vs the ones that are and so far I’ve come up with nothing.

    Saw a few other posts about it, and tried those solutions but none of them did the trick. Guess I just may use a different backup plugin.

    Setting WP_DEBUG to true in wp-config.php should never ever bring down your site …

    There must be something usefull in the Apache error_log …

    If you are not able to resolve issues like these for plugin A you won’t be able to resolve them for plugin B …

    iTSec plugin is not a backup plugin anyway … the backup feature included is not even a full backup solution …

    So in the end indeed you may be better off with a real backup plugin.
