Blank white page is a PHP error. Reasons you’d get that error are: (1) Bad theme
(2) Bad plugin
(3) Bad install/upgrade
(4) you exhausted the memory limit
(5) It could also mean that there is an issue with your web hosting server. 1 and 2 are more common.
Since the problem can be caused by any number of things, look in your error logs to see why it’s crashing at that point.
Also, try reviewing this Codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/Common_WordPress_Errors#The_White_Screen_of_Death
I spent 3 grueling hours with iP age today, 4 different techs. Every one of them had different ideas about what was going on to produce the the blank white page, i. e., a dead blog. The last tech said a computer (which was unidentifiable) was attacking the site and doing repeat downloads of all the MP3,MP4, and mpeg files on my blog, reminiscent of a denial of service attack. Therefore, he said, I would have to remove all the sound files and all the movies in order to get the blog back up and running. Which I did. We had to do it by going into the database at ipage.com, and the operation took a good 30 to 45 minutes to do. The tech, who was based in Phoenix, said that the attack was a high-power computer looking for pornography, but my mp3 and mp4 files were of criminal assaults and corrupt things going on in the courtroom. No porn.
Does that sound plausible to you?
It doesn’t to me.
Now I have to store all those files on a 3rd party public access service like Dropbox or Google Drive.
