    Hello,

I had recently altered some css on my WordPress website, all was fine, edits were completed well, then I added a line of code, which would have removed breadcrumb from the theme & pages, which was not required.

Then I saved css edit and the entire website has gone, complete white page, the only thing visible is the favicon and also my WordPress area was completely blank also, but no favicon showing there, my hosting provider has then fixed that issue and I can now login to my WordPress area.

My site is still blank :/

    My website is http://www.lpidesigns.com

The theme that I have been using is “Advertica – Lite”

I also recently updated to worpress 4.1

    Messages that are visible are:

*ERROR: The theme directory “twentyfifteen” does not exist.
    *twentyfifteenVersion: false By false false.
*I click on Editor > message shows “The requested theme does not exist.”

I am in desperate need to get this fixed, I’ve been working on my site for months & nothing major has ever happened like this.

I have also contacted the theme creator of course, but I thought I would ask WordPress as of course there are lots of coders/designers here.

If anyone has had this issue or you have recently resolved the issue, feel free to reply/contribute.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards
    Phillip

  • So are you able to access the backend (Dashboard) of your site? Do you have FTP or Cpanel access to your site files on the server – you’ll need that in order to get this sorted. Ask your hosting company if you’re not sure how to set that up.

Once it’s set up, go to wp-content > themes and look at which themes are in that folder. Is there a twentyfourteen or twentyfifteen? If not, download a new copy of WP from this site and copy twentyfifteen into the theme folder.

If you see Advertica-Lite in the themes folder, rename that folder. See if that brings your site back up – it should be now using twentyfifteen – temporarily.

If that doesn’t work, go back and rename the plugins folder to pluginsHOLD

Is your site then visible again?

Thank you for your reply, I have just forwarded your reply to my server host and hopefully they can do this for me :/ I will reply back with an update.

    Thank you so much! 😀

The site is now visible again 🙂 one more issue to resolve is putting the theme back that completed my sites layout.

Can I reinstall the advertica-lite wordpress theme ? or do I need to update it or what would you recommend ?

My website http://www.lpidesigns.com is now using the Twenty Fifteen theme.

I just wondered if I delete the old advertica lite theme. Then reinstall a new advertica lite theme file then install into my wordpress website.

Would with what you have suggested above, which my server host has now done, will me reinstalling the theme will be fine? and will it get my website back to the way it was.
