Support » Fixing WordPress » Blank space with question mark? WP2014

  • Hi- I am using WP’14 theme and local server (Mamp) This is my first site FYI. ON my home page (static page) I have a large white space above my content. it has a small blue question mark in it. I didn’t have this as I was building the site, but I did something and now it is stuck there. For example, when I go to the home page, I need to scroll down one full screen of blank space before I see my content.
This seemed to have happened when I messed around with the “customize” tab on “appearance.” I changed the name of the site to my name, from “myMAMPwp default. I also tried putting in a background image, which did nothing as far as I can tell. I deleted background image and changed name back to mymampwp but this white box still remains. If i get back to earlier revisions, now the blank space is still there. I rebooted everything, still there. I’m going nuts. I’m not a programmer. Any help GREATLY appreciated, thanks-

Hi me again. I should add, this blank space is at the beginning of EVERY page on my site. If I have set some kind of image to be there, how do I turn that off. I don’t see a setting anywhere. Please help, I’m lost… thx
