Support » Networking WordPress » blank site, blank dashboard after upgrade to 3.8

  • Resolved rmiddleton

    One site of 500+ is blank on the site and the dashboard. Have been through settings in network admin comparing this site to another and all seem to be the same. Since I can’t get to the dashboard I can disable individual plugins. Deactivating all network level plugins did not help.
    Default theme was changed, in config, to Suffusion a couple of versions ago, and since it works on all other sites I don’t suspect this is the problem. Something related to 3.8 upgrade because that is all that changed.
    I suspect it must be an individual plugin on that site, but need a way to access and disable.

  • Yes, it’s likely a plugin to blame. You can actually disable this from the database in emergency situations.

    Figure out the ID for this specific site then go to the wp_ID_options table. Under “option_name” search for “active_plugins.” You’ll see something like this

    In option_value get rid of all those active plugins, so it’s blank. Save and all plugins will be deactivated.

    Alternatively, enter this query

    UPDATE wp_ID_options SET option_value = '' WHERE option_name = 'active_plugins';

    That’s the field I needed! Thank you!!!
