• Hi,

I’m looking for help with the dreaded blank screen of death. I’ve read up on it somewhat but haven’t been able to muster enough help to get things fixed.

I use the thesis theme and I think the culprit is a recent plugin. For the briefest of periods I started getting an error saying that there was improper code in my custom.php file, but when I went in to strip out my most recent changes (thinking that might do the trick) I started to get the blank screen.

I checked with my hosting service to make sure there was nothing funky on their end, and they switched my current install to the default. It works fine in the default, but I’d like to be able to go back to Thesis to problemshoot the plugins and get it back up to snuff.

So I guess my question is: how do I reactivate thesis from within the WP dashboard? I can’t find the activation button anywhere!

Also, can I just delete the plugins with my FTP program or do I need to do something else to properly deactivate them?

Thanks for your help — this has been making me crazy for the better part of the day (it sucks to see something you’ve spent so much time on suddenly go down the tubes!)

    -JC

    Try looking in Admin/Appearance/Themes.

Plugins can be deleted via FTP. In fact, sometimes it’s advisable if you’re having problems.
