    After losing our subscription for managed wordpress on GoDaddy (I thought they were good, now I want to switch hosts again), we had to update our billing and pay a restore fee to get our hosting back. Their support is useless. Keep opening tickets for the same thing (restore WHAT) and not fixing the issue. They restored our website to THIS. Blank pages. They have done a “restore” 3 times and the content isn’t showing I can’t the wp-config file in the MySQL database via pHpMyAdmin. I’m at a loss here. I’ve deactivated plugins and reactivated them. However, when I click edit page, the content is in the editor! The content is there… It’s just not showing up. I also do not have cPanel. Please help.

    Our last backup was not saved locally but we have it somewhere with a company.

  • I checked on my end and I can see the pages just fine – have you tried clearing your browser’s cache? Also, try a different browser and see what happens.

    It’s not showing up on my phone either or my boss’ phone. There’s supposed to be content within the pages. It’s missing. There’s no text/images/galleries except for the menus, side bars, and random buttons. In the page editor, there is content. :S

    @cupcaker sorry about that, I see what you mean now. First, create a complete backup of the site and download it. Next, disable every single one of your plugins, and disable your theme. Next, re-enable plugins and your theme, one by one, and you’ll be able to figure out which one is causing problems.

    If that doesn’t work, you can edit wp-config.php ( https://www.godaddy.com/help/edit-files-in-cpanel-hosting-16314 ) – at the bottom of wp-config.php add:
    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    Then when you view your site, see if you get any error messages.

    Thank you! I have another issue. I do not see wp-config file in the database. I believe the plan comes with mypHpAdmin (which I am able to access) but not cPanel. I wonder if that is causing the issue when GoDaddy restored it.

    The plan is Ultimate Managed WordPress.

    wp-config.php is a file, so it won’t be in the database or phpmyadmin. Do you have FTP access to the site? https://www.godaddy.com/help/move-my-website-with-ftp-and-filezilla-20319

    Gotcha. As far as I’m aware, I don’t have FTP access to the site. I swear I’ve accessed it before in GoDaddy before (or it was when we had Yahoo). I believe it’s STFP however.

    Edit: I’m connected via Filezilla!

    I’ve added wp_debug to the wp-config file. Nothing is shown in the wp-content folder though.

    Now, it showed up:
    [15-May-2019 20:50:51 UTC] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant wpdb – assumed ‘wpdb’ in phar:///opt/wp-cli/bin/wp/vendor/wp-cli/eval-command/src/Eval_Command.php(37) : eval()’d code on line 1
