My problem is that when I access “edit” in any of my pages via the “backend” of my website (dashboard) the pages are blank and yet they display the normal content online at the “frontend”. The only thing being that there are grey question marks throughout the page text.
I have recently changed my theme to Enigma and am using a child theme to supoort some changes to CCS. T previously used Graphene.
I have consulted my host server help facility and they report “I can’t find anything obviously wrong with the website. The permissions on all the files are correct and no errors within the server logs.
Perhaps try disabling the newer plugins just to see if it makes a difference when disabled.
or try switching the theme as a test, these are the likely culprits.”

I had already tried the above suggestions but tried again to no avail.
    Any suggestions most welcome!

Blank pages usually mean PHP errors. Can you get at your php error log and see if anything there looks helpful?

A,so try turning on debug in the WP-config file (change wp_debug from false to true).

You may need to turn off ALL plugins though 🙁

Oh dear! No I couldn’t get at my php eror log but my host help assured me that they couldn’t find any errors.

I then tried deactivating all plugins and turning off debug.

I managed to lose a page by “cutting and pasting” from frontend to backend!

I have tried restoring a mysql back up by importing via myphpadmin but it keeps saying file too large …as far as I can tell backup is compressed!!!

Thanks for your suggestions Mike but what else??
