Blank page when accessing wp-admin/install.php

I have attempted a clean WordPress installation on my hosting server. I downloaded wordpress-3.2.1.zip, edited wp-config.php with my info (triple checked), uploaded the files with FileZilla. When accessing mydomain.com/wp-admin/install.php I only get a blank page. I can’t figure out what’s wrong. My hosting providers told me to turn on PHP error messaging to see, but it doesn’t throw any error. Just a blank page. What can I try next?

  • Delete the wp-config.php file and let the install program create the file

Thanks, govpatel. I did what you suggested. The program created the file, told me it was successful and that WordPress could now communicate with my database. It then told me to run the install and I got the blank page again. Nothing happens. Any ideas?

looks like when you uploaded wordpress there may have a some files corrupted so see if you can upload all files folder again and try install program

That was indeed the case. I deleted everything and uploaded the files again and it worked like a charm. Thanks for your help.

    You are welcome
