  • Hi @fraksipon,

Usually this would point to a conflict with another plugin that’s active on your site so I hope that you wouldn’t mind temporarily deactivating the plugins one by one ( excepting NextGen Gallery ) and testing to see if this will change anything.

i disabled all plugins and it’s still the same. Is there a limit to the free version? I have a lot of photos over a five-year period and maybe that has an impact on that. Do you have any idea what else it could be?

    Hello @fraksipon,

No, there is no limit. But the limitations are most of the time on the server-side.
One thing you can do is to contact your hosting provider and check if there is any error or information regarding the problem. Perhaps there is no enough memory or space.

You can also check if the server meets our minimum requirements: https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/

As Mihai Suggested, what you should do is a full conflict check.
You should also change the theme to a WordPress default theme just to discard a conflict with the theme itself.

    Here are the instructions:
    – Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery.
    – Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
    – If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme. It could be a conflict with your current theme.

If the problem persists, you can try to remove the plugin and re-install it again.
You shouldn’t be lost your galleries. Those will remain in the path established by NextGEN Gallery.

Note: a full website backup is encouraged before checking for conflicts or re-installing the plugin.

I checked on a different theme and it started working.
Do you know where to look for the problem in my theme?

    Hi @fraksipon,

You can check the browser’s console ( F12 key then go to “Console” tab ) to see if there are any JS errors there. Usually, this would point to the conflict itself which you may want to bring up into a discussion with the theme’s support.
