• I have followed the 5-minute installation guide and I’m positive that my database information is correct (as verified by seeing the wp tables in my database). When the second step is presented however, I just see a blank page. The url is http://www.mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php?step=2. I can’t go beyond that step and there are no users entered in my database. I can always manually add the user (generating necessary keys and md5 hashes) but I’m worried that this is an indication of a larger problem. I’m hosting from an ASP.Net provider but they assure me that php 5.0 is supported (and I can run other php apps just fine). My provider is WinHost in case that matters.

Thank you for any and all help in this matter.

  • Try re-uploading from a fresh download of WordPress.

I just downloaded the zip prior to installing. I followed the 5-minute installation guide here and I downloaded 2.91 about three hours ago from here. Did I miss a step somewhere?

Not necessarily but it’s not unknown to get a download with a bad file or 2 in there.
