• I was being redirected to a blank white screen after login. The only way i was able to access my site was to temporarily rename the plugin file in the back end, then everything would be cool and i could access. Problem is I love Simple Firewall and i need it, but as soon as a reactivated it, it would boot me out and i’d be back to square one because all the settings are saved in the database. I wanted to change the login settings, at least temporarily, but i couldn’t find them in the database.

I was able to figure out that the problem was caused by Simple Firewall and Theme My Login not playing nice together. If you have the same problem, turn off TML temporarily, while accessing the site with Simple Firewall turned off/renamed, then correct the Simple Firewall name, and reactivate it. You’ll be booted out, but to the regular WP login. This should work as expected. Now you can go in and switch off / modify the login protection features. For me, i needed TML, so i switched off the login protection features, switched on TML, then installed another plugin to look after the brute force side of things. Not perfect, but a quick fix as i don’t have time to figure out exactly what’s causing the conflict. Hope this helps someone 🙂

Sorry for the trouble here, but thanks for laying out the problem. I’ll try and see if I can spot the problem. Can you check your web hosting for error_log files and see if there are any critical errors being generated pertaining to both plugins?

I took a look at this plugin – it make serious changes to the login URL etc. so if you have the rename login URL option enabled, it’s not compatible.

I couldn’t replicate the white screen error though. Did you have the rename login URL option enabled?
