Blank Category (Screenshots Included)

    I have a mysterious issue with my WordPress blog:

    When I click Add post, (or when I modify an existing post) it shows the following on the sidebar:

    And when I click the Categories page and try to remove it, it won’t let me:

    I have even tried exporting the WordPress XML file, opening it up, and removing the blank category manually (I found the empty category line) and then importing it back in, but it’s still there…

    This thing is driving me nuts! I can’t seem to figure it out. 😛
