• I downloaded a plugin (forgot the name) to add music, images, etc. to my website. After going through the settings of this plugin and saving, the admin page and all other pages related to editing the website have gone blank. I tried logging in and out of wordpress, but with no luck, still blank.

Sidenote – when I am logged into wordpress, I am able to view my website only. If I click to edit it, the page goes blank.

Not sure how to fix this! A little help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hi there,

You probably need to deactivate the plugin. It sounds like you can still get in the admin? If you can access your admin just fine, try going to the Plugins menu, finding the plugin, and deactivating it.

    Hello,

No, I cannot access the admin at all. That is where I am getting the white screen… Not sure how else to deactivate the plugin…

You can deactivate it by logging into your site using FTP, or possibly in your web hosting control panel if they give you access to the files. You can rename the folder of the plugin you installed and WordPress will deactivate it.
