Blan k Confirmation page

    Hi,
    My subscribers only see a blank white page as confirmation. The size is 20 kb. It doesn’t matter whether I use the Mailpoet confirmation page or my own page. Subscribers are correctly entered to the list. But thesy get no confirmation email.
    I tested it on another blank test installation of WordPress with several themes and no other plugins – it is the same result.
    System conditions:
    Wordpress 5.6
    MailPoet Version 3.57.0
    No other plugins
    PHP 7.4
    MySQL 5.7
    I cannot find any reason for the problem.
    I use Mailpoet since some days – I don’t know if it worked with the previous version of Mailpoet.

    After many tests I was able to determine that the cause lies in the Thunderbird email program. Thunderbird (Version 68 and 78 tested) sends a confirmation link that is missing some characters and causes the browser to display “Error 404” or a blank page with no content. I cannot find a reason for this error. Other users have the same problem.

    Hi @michaelsbote,

    Thanks for letting us know that the problem is being caused by Thunderbird.

    Maybe you should add a notification about it on your confirmation email, so your users can try to subscribe or open the email with a different email client.
