Support » Plugin: All In One WP Security & Firewall » Blacklist not working for Proxies

  • This is a really great plugin. Thanks for your efforts.

I’ve noticed that some IP addresses added to the Blacklist are not blocking access. I have verified that these IPs are Proxy Servers. Is it not possible to black proxy access using .htaccess rules? If this has been answered, I can’t find it – sorry.

Hi, sorry for asking but can you share with us how did you find out that these IP addresses are not being blocked?

Sure, they are showing up in the server logs numerous times and are successfully executing GET commands even though they are blacklisted by IP address.

Do you have one of the following features enabled in the plugin located in WP Security -> Firewall -> Basic Firewall Rules.

    1. Completely Block Access To XMLRPC:
    2. Disable Pingback Functionality From XMLRPC:

    Yes, both are enabled.
