[Resolved] Black background in visual box for new post?

  • I upgraded to the newest version (2.9.1) automatically, and as I went to enter in a new post, the visual box shows a black background, this is causing issues when trying to write my posting. While I can put my post under the html tab, this kind of defeats the purpose of getting to use the visual to see just how it will look on the page. Here is pic of what I am seeing picture. Any help to make this work correctly is greatly appreciated!

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Sorry esmi, I should have responded to your help suggestions. It was indeed one of the plugins. After troubleshooting it is the The “Tiny MCE Advanced” so I have shut it off completely, and will put a note on the page for that plugin for others. Thank you so much for your fast response!
