Bkgrnd image to blend header and content areas

  • I’m a web designer, but a WordPress newb.

I have modified the default (Kubrick) theme to a degree, in attempting to convert my own portfolio site over to WP. The problem I’m trying to solve here is, there is a second image I’m trying to incorporate directly below the header that will be create a seamless background, blending the header down into the content area, like this:

    http://backstageweb.net/WP.htm

I’ve created a style for the lower bkgrnd image in the style.css file, but I don’t know where to incorporate the style into the .php code. I suspect it goes in the header.php file, but I don’t know how or where exactly to insert the code.

    Help?

    Thanks.

  • I’m having a similar problem. I’ve got a header image in place, but I have a “continuation” of sorts of that header image that I want to place below the header, however, I also need it to be under my posts…

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I need to blend the header with a background image in the content area.

    HELP!!
