Bittorrent enclosures in RSS feed?

  • I’m new to WordPress, but I know that one of its nifty features is automatically creating an enclosure in the RSS feed when it comes across a link to an MP3 file in a post.

Is there a way to have WordPress do this with links to .torrent files as well? I’m in the (very) early stages of starting a podcast, and I’d like to use Bittorrent to distribute it.

Apologies if I’m missing something obvious. I’ve searched the forums and Googled and still can’t find the answer to this one.

  • Still haven’t found a solution, but I think I’ve found a workaround. Looks like Feedburner’s “SmartCast” feature will generate enclosures for torrents.

The “flexible enclosures” plugin seems to work as well…
