• Hi guys,

Really looks excellent at first glance – but when going into it a little deeper, there’s a huge problem that I hope you’ll be able to help out on.

I can see some testimonials being far too long for publication in their entirety, so I tried out the ‘excerpt’ testimonial option. Problem with this is, that you get taken to a new page, complete with featured image if you click onto ‘Continue Reading’, wiping out any synchronisation that a user is building up and needing a back-click to get back to the testimonials.

So – I thought bugger that – looks horrible, and tried adding a ‘read more’ link into the testimonial itself, which didn’t work as all the testimonial text still showed.

In your opinion then, what would be the best way to add a ‘read more’ link, whether through the ‘excerpt’ method, or via the WordPress method, that DOESN’T take a user to a new page to read the testimonial and keeps him on the same page that he originally was on?

    Hey @steveraven!

Thank you for trying out our plugin and the honest feedback and question.

We’ve looked at this a bit internally and are considering adding an ‘accordion’ feature to the testimonial where the shortened testimonial expands to the full version, inline, when you click the link. This would be an alternative to being taken to a full single page, as currently happens.

Does that sound like an ideal solution to you?

    Best,
    Richard

Sorry for the late reply, but I’ve been on holiday.

An ‘accordion’ version sounds ideal, yes – so ideal in fact that it makes you wonder why this hasn’t been tried on other testimonial versions.

    Keep me informed on this!
