Billing email address corrupted

    I’ve noticed an intermittent issue on two sites now. Sometimes the customers billing email address is corrupted and the order confirmation and receipt and Stripe metadata billing email address is saved as the corrupted version

    e.g. either the address has four numerals added after the .com (mostly on btinternet.com addresses) or the latest glitch had what looked like the card number in the middle of the user part of the address e.g. stev545353554545en@domain.com

    Since the email address can’t be input incorrectly I’m trying to find out where the corruption is creeping in. Stripe has the correct customer email, but a corrupted billing email. Any ideas?

    That sounds very odd, especially as this isn’t happening all the time.

    We’ll need to take a closer look to see what’s happening. Please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Tickets. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

    Can you please include the following:

    * Link to this forum thread
    * Screenshot of a WooCommerce.com order where this has happened, including the email and the order notes. You can obscure sensitive customer information.
    * Screenshot of the corresponding Stripe order – again, you can obscure sensitive customer information.
    * System status log

    If you have already enabled logging via WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe, you’ll be able to find the corresponding logs via WooComerce > Status > Logs – in that case, please do include that log. If you haven’t enabled logged, please do so and keep an eye out for one of these cases.

    Tried a few times to post a ticket at woocommerce.com but all I can do is ‘start a chat’ and no-one replies.
