• So I’m looking for some community guidance here as to what the best way to handle this is.

I am doing a “pro bono” website for a non-profit on Bolivia. They requested to have one page in both English & Spanish but I would really like to offer the whole site in both languages. There are probably plenty of ways of doing this but I’m looking for suggestions.

One thought was to do a multi-site and simply create one to be English and the other Spanish. Wondering if there are any other better ideas out there?

  • Have you looked at any of the multilingual/translation plugins?

I have and I guess I was looking for suggested plugins from the community as well as other options.

I’m going through a bunch of them now but there are a ton of plugins and I was wondering if there might be any that come highly recommended by those who have had similar projects.

So far it seems qTranslate is the best plugin solution out there. I’m still looking and will post my findings but would love any other suggestions. Both plugin and non plugin solutions welcome.

I understand that the admin panel can offer bilingual fields for each post entry, but what I’d like to know is:

If I have a bilingual blog (existing like 2 mirror sites as opposed to a blog with posts written in 2 languages on each page), do I have 2 sets of templates? And if so, how does this work?
