    Hello there WordPress community!

I am currently trying to make a second version of my website, by re-writing all my pages in French.
I was put on this project by my company, and I had never really done any WordPress work before, so I am kind of lost. I have to continue a project that was started by someone else.

I have started manually translating my pages, and so far it’s been good. I only have a couple of concerns of stuff I cannot find how to translate:

1- I cannot translate the labels of my contact form, at the bottom of this page. I can translate all the upper part, but not the labels of the form. (The form is genrated automatically when choosing this option)

2- I have seen that you can add page translations on each page with this option, but there is nothing similar in the “Works” tab, where we have some products and stuff.

3-Last thing, talking about Works. Is there a way to have more than 10 items appear on my products page? I can only see 10 of them at a time. (There is 11 right now, if you scroll with the arrows after clicking on one, you will see the last product)

Thank you for your kind help!

Does the contact form come with your theme?

If your theme is translate ready you should be able to translate the strings with this plugin
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/

If you use a commercial theme and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

The only theme installed is this one.

Did you try translating it with the loco translate plugin?

The only theme installed is this one.

Yes, thats a commercial theme. Ask there how you can translate the theme:
    http://mintithemes.com/forums/forum/elogix/

Or wherever you bought the theme.

I mean, I don’t mind translating the pages myself, that way I know what I am writing, but I just wanna access some of those spots that I cannot find a way to translate right now. The HTML is going fine though.

    Sorry to ask again.

Did you try translating it with the loco translate plugin?

I did and tried following the guide, but some stuff are missing. Maybe its because of my WordPress version?

When I click on the loco translation page plugin after installing it, the page is just pure blank.

Ok, I installed a new Theme, Omega.

Is there a way to work on Omega whilst not putting down my website as I work on it?

And is there a way to convert my other Theme website to my new one?

    Thread Starter Patrick

    (@shockform)

Ok, your plugin killed my website or something. I have nothing now.

Even the website gives no response.

    Strange.

Can you remove the plugin from the /wp-content/plugins/ folder by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Thread Starter Patrick

    (@shockform)

Ok, I renamed the plugins folder to pluginsOLD. Now the site is back up, but it looks completely retarded.

I’m trying to fix everything. I won’t use Loco thingy it almost threw my entire site off.

    Moderator keesiemeijer

    (@keesiemeijer)

Rename the pluginsOLD folder back to plugins and remove the loco-translate folder.

Maybe you have to re-activate the plugins you were using before you renamed the folder.

Do you know what version of PHP your site is using?

If you don’t know, try this plugin to see what PHP version you’re using
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/system-snapshot-report

Look for “PHP Version:” at wp-admin > Tools > Snapshot

As the Loco Translate plugin clearly didn’t work, you’ll have to use some other tools like POEdit to translate the contact form strings.

    Here’s a tutorial.

    See “Step 2 Introducing POEdit”
